Session Themes:

🌤️ Sun & Soil – Move like the sun reaching for the plants, dig into soil, and explore how gardens begin.
🌧️ Rain & Roots – Splash, stomp, and dance like raindrops while learning how water helps plants grow.
💨 Wind & Seeds – Float, spin, and scatter like the wind as we explore how seeds travel.
🐛 Wonderful Worms – Wiggle and crawl as we discover how worms keep the soil healthy.
🦋 Pollinator Parade – Buzz, flutter, and hop like bees and butterflies to learn how they help plants bloom.
🌎 Weather & the Garden – Experience the magic of sunshine, rain, and wind through movement and play.

🌿 This is a six-week series, and families enroll in the full session. Each class is designed to encourage curiosity, movement, and a love for nature, all in a fun and welcoming environment.

Tend & Tumble: A Parent-Child Gardening & Movement Series

🌿✨ Grow, Move, and Play Together! ✨🌿

Join us for Tend & Tumble, a six-week parent-child series designed for families with children ages 2-5! This playful, hands-on program blends gardening, movement, and nature exploration, giving little ones the chance to dig, wiggle, and grow—just like the plants in the garden!

Each session includes:
🌞 Engaging movement activities inspired by nature and the garden
🌱 Hands-on exploration of plants, soil, and garden creatures
📖 Stories, songs, and sensory experiences to spark curiosity
💨 Outdoor-inspired play that nurtures connection and creativity

Together, we’ll discover how the sun, rain, wind, worms, and pollinators help a garden grow—all while moving our bodies, playing in nature, and getting our hands in the soil.

Course Information

  • Class will be held in Esko, MN - complete address will be given to enrolled families.

  • Class will be held rain or shine and in all weather. We will move inside the greenhouse or in the gazebo if needed. Class will only be cancelled if there is severe weather. You will receive an email in the morning informing you if we won’t have class.

  • Email is the primary method of communication. I will email course updates (such as cancellations or class preparedness) the day before or the morning of. Please check your emails during that time.

  • There are no refunds. Payment for all classes must be made in advance. In the event of a class cancellation, an alternative class date will be set.

  • It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure the safety of their child and come prepared for class. Recommended safety measures include applying bug spray and sunscreen where age appropriate, hats, sunglasses, secure footwear, and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. This is a nature-based class, so come prepared for your child’s exploration! Although all classes are planned with safety in mind, by enrolling in this session, you assume all responsibility for any accident or injury.

Scholarships and Donations

Scholarships are available for families who are unable to pay tuition. Donations are also accepted if you’re interested in further supporting GoodRoots.

Classes are $25 each, full amount charged at enrollment ($150 per family)
